MUMBAI (Reuters) – Actor Amitabh Bachchan’s mother, Teji Bachchan, died in a Mumbai hospital on Friday after prolonged illness. She was 93.
“Teji Bachchan expired today afternoon. She was unwell for a long time, conditions got worse,” a senior official at Lilavati Hospital told Reuters.
Bachchan, wife of distinguished Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, had been in hospital for about a year.
